We’re nearly at the end of the year, but before we get there, there’s still Halloween to talk about! More events in the community

This year, there’s a special event going on at Clapp Park on 46th street and Avenue U, where Safety City is located. Called Trick-or-Treat Street, the event takes place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We’re not 100% sure if this is the only place to take your kids trick-or-treating this year, but it will be without a doubt the safest place for them to go!

Other Halloween Events

There are plenty of other great Halloween events in town as well. On the 25th from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., take your kids to Mahon dressed as their favorite character from a book or movie for their costume party. The Buddy Holly Center will be hosting a special Dia de los Muertos Workshop at 1:00 p.m. on the 27th for just $10, where everyone can design their own sugar skulls, candles and macaroni skeletons. From 2-5 p.m. at Mahon, also on the 27th, you can watch episodes of The Walking Dead while eating & drinking free snacks and getting your hands on some free merchandise from the show or head there two days later for a Halloween Party & Potluck at 6:30 p.m.

We’re sure these aren’t the only events in town, and if you know of any other good ones be sure to clue us in in the comments. Happy Halloween!
