First Friday Art Trail
Lubbock art lovers can gather on the first Friday of each month from 6-9 to explore different art scenes throughout the city. Featuring a rotating selection of local art hangouts, galleries, and events, the First Friday Art Trail allows guests to visit at their own pace with a unique self-guided tour each month. The last Saturday of every month, the Wild West Vintage Décor shop in Lubbock opens an outdoor market complete with antique vendors, food trucks, live entertainment, and a farmer’s market. If you love chatting with local makers and antique vendors, consider stopping by Junk Fest in July or August. If you can’t make it on Saturdays, the Wild West Vintage Décor shop is also a perfect place to visit by itself during normal business hours.
McPherson Patio Nights
This summer, the McPherson Cellars restaurant in Lubbock will host weekly patio nights each Thursday in good weather through the month of September. At patio night, guests can enjoy wine from McPherson Cellars and live entertainment from local bands. Movies in the Park
The Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a free summer movie series in the park. The movie schedule for the rest of the summer is Cars 3 on July 13th, Coco on July 20th, Peter Rabbit on July 27th, and Despicable Me 3 on August 4th. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to keep everyone comfortable on the grass. Movies start at dusk.
