We do pull a credit report to verify information, but don’t worry that your score will automatically disqualify you from getting approved. We look for reasons to approve every customer, not reasons to turn them down. Our main goal is to match your needs with a payment that is right for you along with terms that make sense.
The short answer is a photo ID, down payment, and ability to repay the loan. To speed up the process here is a list of things to bring in to the dealership:
* Driver’s License or approved Photo ID
* Most recent Paystub showing YTD earnings and Federal Withholdings
* 2 months of bank statements if you have a checking or savings account
* Down payment funds
* List of 5 references. Including full name, address, and phone #
* Recent Utility Bill in your name (not needed if you have bank statements)
Many different factors are looked at when determining the down payment amount. But a good rule of thumb is 20% of the selling price (or $200 per every $1000 financed). So $10,000 car would be $2000 down. $20,000 car would be $4,000 down.

All vehicles are sold AS-IS. Some units will still have a factory warranty that will transfer to a new buyer. Most vehicles will qualify for a 12mo/12,000 mile service contract through Credit Acceptance depending on age and current mileage at an additional cost. Ask your salesperson about the different VSC (vehicle service contracts) available to you.
